What is Lamina1?
Lamina1 is a layer-1 blockchain that is optimized for the metaverse, and it is based on a fork of Avalanche blockchain. This blockchain is designed to provide content creators with a flexible framework for creating digital assets. The Lamina1 network uses a high-speed proof-of-stake consensus algorithm that has been customized to meet the specific needs of the metaverse.
Lamina1 has hinted on Discord about a Lamina1 airdrop for the community.
Funding:
Founders include Peter Vessenes (Cofounder, Bitcoin Foundation) and Neal Stephenson. Tproject has set up the Lamina1 Ecosystem Fund (L1EF), the world’s first publicly accessible ecosystem fund for layer-1 blockchains.
Token
Lamina1 has a native token, The ticker for their native token is $L1. Currently Lamina1 is in the first testnet phase.
Token used to pay Gas fees, Staking, Dao & to provide a basic unit of account between the multiple Subnets.
Lamina1 Testnet Guide
If you’re interested in receiving the potential Lamina1 airdrop, the most effective approach is to engage with their testnet and accomplish tasks on Zealy. To help you out, here is a detailed guide on how to do so:
Step 1: Join Zealy
Step 2: Create a Lamina1 Wallet
Go to https://wallet-test.lamina1.network/ -> click on ‘Create New Wallet’ -> click on ‘Generate key phrase’ and save them securely.
Once you have set up your wallet, you will be taken to your portfolio page where you can access your X-Chain, P-Chain, and C-Chain wallet addresses and QR code at the top right of the screen.
The X-Chain address is used to receive funds, the P-Chain address is used for receiving staking rewards and cross-chain transfers, and the C-Chain address is used for interacting with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
Step 3: Import the wallet on metamask
Go to Manage Keys -> click on ‘Save Keys’ -> enter account name & password & save -> click on ‘view C Chain private key’ & copy the private key -> open MetaMask wallet -> go to my accounts -> click on import account & enter private key to import account.
Step 4: Add Lamina1 Testnet to MetaMask
Way 1:
Go to https://faucet-test.lamina1.network/ -> click on “Add subnet to metamask” & approve to add Lamina1 testnet to MetaMask .
Way 2: Add a network manually
Open your MetaMask wallet go to Networks > Add a network > Add a network manually add below details.
Network name : Lamina1 Testnet
Network URL : https://rpc-testnet.lamina1.com:443/ext/bc/C/rpc
Chain ID : 7649
Currency symbol : L1
Block explorer URL : https://testnet-explorer.lamina1.global
Step 5: Faucet Test tokens
Go to https://faucet-test.lamina1.network/ -> Paste your metamask wallet address in the faucet and claim some test L1 tokens.
Step 6: You can now test the testnet features on the Lamina1 wallet dashboard
- Send – Use this feature to transfer funds to different wallets.
- Cross Chain – This functionality enables you to move tokens across X, P, and C chains.
- Earn – First, swap $L1 from the C chain to the P chain. Then, visit the earn tab and delegate to earn rewards.
Step 7: Join discord & share your feedback
To earn the “Testnet” role, you must complete the tasks assigned on Zealy. This will enable Lamina1 to monitor your participation. By accumulating XP on Crew3, you will be eligible for an End-of-Testnet Giveaway.
Step 8: Set Up a Node
You can also set up a node and run it on the Lamina1.
that’s it.
